The entrepreneurship sensitization programme which was sponsored by the National Science Technology Entrepreneurship Board GoI, implemented by EDI Ahmadabad and organised by University of Science and Technology Meghalaya commenced today at Zisaji Presidency College with Langthasa District Industries an commerce Manager addressing the inaugural programme.
Speaking at the programme, Langthasa said that the issue of unemployment has reached its zenith and entrepreneurship is the solution. He appealed to the youths to sincerely attend the programme so that they become job givers and not seekers.
He appealed the trainees to come up with sustainable innovative schemes so that projects taken up are successful. Assuring all possible help to uplift the socio economic condition in the district, the Manager also touched on the importance of entrepreneurship and asked the participants to venture out and make a difference.
He shared in details of the departmental schemes and also took part in the interaction and discussion which the participants were not aware of.
Wekhrope, Inspector DIC who also spoke on ‘Entrepreneurship Avenues’ said, “government will not be able to accommodate every individual in government sector so we have to employ ourselves and for that entrepreneurship is the only solution.” The Inspector asked the participants to take bold step and do something where the purpose of self and society is served.
Purna Chandra Mishra, Vice-Principal, ZPC spoke on the topic ‘Guidelines for prospective entrepreneurship’ shared in details of the schemes and policies laid down by the government. He also shared on the importance of being an entrepreneurship and the influence when one venture out in this sector.
