Tuensang, January 16 (MExN): Electoral Roll Observer (ERO) for Tuensang district, Commissioner and Secretary Works & Housing, Rovilatuo Mor held a meeting with political parties and electoral officials at DC conference hall on January 15.
A DIPR report stated that the Electoral Roll Observer instructed the political parties and electoral officials to follow the guidelines of ECI and reminded the political parties on appointment of BLAs for enrolling eligible voters in the field verification and also identifies absent, shifted, dead and deleting through BLOs. He pointed out the deviation as compared to the electoral roll with that of census, under enrolment in the age group of 18-19 and over enrolment in the higher group and urged the officials to rectify them. He further urged the political parties to extend full cooperation with the election machineries during revision to have error free electoral roll.
Later, after the meeting the observers visited some polling stations under Tuensang district and checked the record of the BLOs and also held meeting with elders of villagers.
