Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): 132 students were transported from Dimapur to Aghunato in a “mass evacuation drive” for students stranded in Dimapur carried out by Eastern Sumi Students Union (ESSU), the union stated in its press release on May 10.
All the students underwent proper medical screening before leaving for Aghunato following the guidelines given by Health and Family Welfare Department, the union added.
The ESSU expressed gratitude to MLA Pukhai Assumi, Advisor Food and Civil Supply, LMCP & Taxes, Government of Nagaland for his contribution towards the cause and making the drive successful.
The union also appreciated Aghunato Area Union Dimapur (AAUD), Otoka Yeptho (Advocate) and Pastor Amento from Kilito Village for physically assisting the ESSU.
