DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): Ex-MLA and Chairman of the Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress Nagaland M. Shami Angh has appealed to the government for assistance towards devastation of crops at Hukphang village, Longleng by hailstone/storm. According to a press note from the former MLA, paddy fields of around 300 households of Hukphang village under Longleng District, Nagaland, have been completely ruined/ destroyed following incessant rain coupled with storm and sudden burst of hailstone that occurred on 2nd September 2011. Therefore, the press note has urged and appealed to the State Government to kindly intervene immediately and give necessary assistance to the aggrieved farmers/villagers of Hukphang village.
