•-We the Excel United Club Kohima, are also surprised and shocked to know that Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) had allotted a slot to a new club for a merit berth for NPL from Kohima , while ignoring other Clubs/Teams like New Market Football Team (NMFT), Naga Boys Club, Penguin Club, Excel United Club Kohima, all this Clubs/Teams are former winners in major tournaments like Classic Cup, N.S.F Martyrs Trophy, Peace Soccer Trophy and Royal Gold Club Kohima.
We are not against or favouring any particular Club/Team, but as a player and lover of the game soccer we want to know as to how the merit slot has been allotted:
Through this column, we the Excel United Club would like to know from the concern authority of Kohima, as to how the allotment for the said slot was made without conducting League matches/Championship despite been a capital of Nagaland, its painful to compare ourselves with our neighbouring district like Dimapur, Mokokchung who had been conducting league Championship.
We are all learning and still need to learn, but it has to be based on transparency and Justice, for our better tomorrow.
