Dimapur, June 26 (MExN): The expansion works of the lone airport in Nagaland will be completed by March 2024, the Dimapur Airport Director said on June 26. The director conveyed the same to Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, when he visited the airport to ascertain the status of its expansion, informed a State DIPR report.
CM Rio is taking serious concern for expansion of Dimapur Airport especially in the departure and arrival section, to ensure that passengers are comfortable, it added. During the visit, the director also explained details plan of action for the expansion of airport to the Chief Minister.
According to the Airports Authority of India, the Dimapur was built during World War II and it is the gateway and the only civil airport in Nagaland.
