Kohima, December 29 (MExN): Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development in collaboration with Department of Education, Nagaland University Kohima Campus Meriema organized five days Faculty Development Program (FDP) workshop on NaiTalim, work education, experiential learning and community engagement at the University Department Hall from November 26 to 30 last.
Professor Pardeshi Lal, Vice- Chancellor, Nagaland University talked on the importance of NaiTalim and experiential learning that no knowledge is complete unless it is supported and substantiated with training and work education and also locally available technical.
He spoke about Nagaland context of education that “we still need effort to build the foundation of work education.”
He encouraged all the participants to stand determined through the NaiTalim that will lift and strengthen them.
The resource persons of the workshop included Dr.Surendra Yadav, Dr.Rajendra Nath Babu, Professor Buno Liegise and Nutsulu Rhakho.
The valedictory session was graced by Buno Liegise, Head I/C Department of Education, Former Dean, School of Humanities and Education, Nagaland University as the chief guest.
She also underlined that knowledge is important but it is not complete unless we are able to communicate effectively and apply it effectively, it is only then powerful.
Dr.Surendra Yadav, Programme Co-Convenor informed 23 participants from all the B.Ed colleges, Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University joined the workshop.
Nutsulu Rhakho, faculty, MGNCRE developed five days workshop schedule and proposed vote of thanks.
