The programme was conducted by DAY-NSRLM, DRDA Mokokchung as a part of the Annual Action plan for the financial year 2019-2020.

The participants were educated on the rules and procedures over the functioning of the Custom Hiring Centre.
A press release from DFS (NSLRM), DRDA stated that this was one of the first of its kind programme initiated under Tuli RD block. With this training, the Mission aims to establish and avail 10 Custom Hiring Centre/Community Managed Tool Banks.

These CHCs will enable small and marginal famers to get access to farm equipment and services such as water pump, grinder, bush cutter, cold chain management, knapsack sprayer, hot press etc at a nominal rate.

This will reduce the drudgery of women farmers and overall reduction of farm operational cost, the release added.
It added that these self-sustaining agricultural tool/machineries/implements are to be owned by the VLO and managed by the Krishi Sakhi (CSP Agri).

The participants acknowledged the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) for conducting the programme and expressed hope that knowledge gained through the programme will go a long way in modernizing the mode of development in farming.
