DIMAPUR, MAY 11 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Western Command, Naga Army has expressed sadness at the demise of Captain Mapeng of 3rd Bn, 1st B’de, W/C, Naga Army, who passed away on May 11. A press release from Major General Pezangulie Khelietsu, GOC, Western Command, Naga Army, FGN informed that Captain Mapeng joined the national defence service on August 15, 1987. He was appointed as Adjutant of 3rd Bn, 1st B’de, W/C, Naga Army on August 18. “His untimely demise was a great loss for the unit and for the 1st Brigade, W/C, Naga Army of Zeliangrong Region. Yet his true sacrifice for the Nation will still remain alive in the history of the Nation,” the press release stated. It meanwhile extended condolences to the bereaved family members.
