Kohima, July 25 (DIPR): The Finance Department (Revenue Branch) in exercise of the powers conferred under section 68 (1) of the Nagaland Value Tax Act, 2005, has notified that, with retrospective effect from 30th May 2011, the Department of Taxes shall offer the following e-services to the taxpayers to facilitate hassle free tax compliance: Information dissemination through the Department web Portal www.nagalandtax.nic.in and e-Registration.
Subsequently, the Department of Taxes, Nagaland shall endeavour to provide in mission mode the following e-services; e-Filing of Returns; e-Refund; e-Issuance of Waybills; e-Submission of Tax Deduction at Source (DT:;) details; e-Submission of Sales and Purchase Invoice and e-Payment of Taxes.
The Dealers can avail the above electronic services by visiting the departmental website i.e www.nagalandtax.nic.in and by following the instructions and procedures contained in the said website. Registered Dealers shall be provided with the “user name” and “password” by the
jurisdictional District/Ward Office for availing the e-Services. However, for e-Registration and e-Payment of Taxes, no log in credential shall be required. This notification was issued by Additional Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner, Toshi Aier vide F. No. FIN/REV-3/VAT/10/05 dated July 2011.
