‘FNR not doing justice to all Naga Political Groups’

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 20 (MExN): The NNC has expressed pain over the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) and its work. Stating this in a press note a press note from Gen. (Rtd) I. Panger Walling Working President NNC pointed out that “political necessity has compelled the Parent Body (NNC) to say strongly that FNR is not doing justice to all the Naga Political Groups”.”FNR is completely bias in their dealing with Naga reconciliation and will be held responsible for excluding the Naga National Council in their meeting every time now. This is very unfortunate and ugly on the part of FNR”, stated the press note.
The NNC condemned the FNR for “preaching inclusiveness of all the Naga Political Groups but in reality excluding the Parent Body of the Nagas (NNC) in the Naga Reconciliation Meet”. It stated that in today’s meeting of 20th August only six top leaders of three Groups were called for the meeting and the rest were not invited and left out intentionally. “The FNR work for Naga reconciliation has become very ugly, bias and totally exclusive now”, the NNC stated while adding that it does not “trust FNR’s work for Naga Reconciliation any more”. “Let the people know this attitude of biasness and exclusiveness of FNR who used to shout at the top of their voice for Naga Reconciliation of all the Naga Political Groups. But their work for Naga reconciliation will further divide the Nagas instead”.
The NNC also expressed pain to see that some Baptist leaders writing to only six leaders to participate the reconciliation meeting and “totally ignored the NNC now who really speak and work for peace and unity of all the Nagas after fragmentation”. “This is not a Christian attitude of working for reconciliation”, it stated. “Certain people will ignored and discard the NNC who stand on solid ground of Non-Violence and Peace & Unity of all the Nagas but the grassroots (villagers) and the Living God will not”.
