DIMAPUR , MARCH 26 (MExN): Higher and Technical Education Minister and BJP Nagaland President, Temjen Imna Along today appealed to the people of the State to take all precautionary measures such as staying at home and practicing social distancing “to protect ourselves and our loved ones.”
The lockdown has been imposed for our own safety, a press release from the Minister stated.
“While we stay safe at home, there are people out there fighting for us in the frontline combating the spread of COVID 19; and these are the medical professionals and the State Police forces who are risking their own lives to protect us,” he pointed out.
“In such a time as this, it is worthy to appreciate their efforts while at the same time, extend all cooperation to them because these are extraordinary times,” the Minister said. He meanwhile assured that the PDA Government is “doing all we can to assist our medical fraternity in the best way possible , and even though there may be some lapses, those matters will be looked into with utmost priority and urgency keeping in mind the seriousness of the issue.”
