Kiphire, May 8 (MExN): Forest officers and staffs are exempted from the purview of COVID-19 lockdown measures in order to conduct various essential duties and activities. A DIPR report stated that the staff and workers of forest department are required to operate and maintain zoo, nurseries, wildlife, fire-fighting in forest, watering plantations, patrolling and their necessary transport movements in and around the Kiphire district. Therefore, all the village councils are to take note of the exemption given to the forest department for carrying out their various essential duties and activities and ensure that their works are not hampered.
