The foundation stone of Vision Hill School Kohima was laid today near 4th NAP Gate, Phezoucha.
The foundation stone for this school (formerly Radiant School Phezoucha) was laid by Nagaland’s school education & SCERT advisor Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Yhome lauded 22 individual investors for coming forward to take this school forward.
He called upon them to work hard as there is potential for growth.
Hoping that the school will be able to prosper, Dr. Yhome called upon the school managing board to focus on higher secondary section in the coming days.
In keynote address, School Managing Board chairman Kethosituo Mepfhuo said that the school is the brainchild of late Vilhouzhalie Dzuvichii for Tsieramia community.
However, the need for individual investors arose for development of the school.
He said that Tsieramia Council has been gracious enough to recommend the request for allotment of the site.
We are planning to set up a premier institute with various facilities, said Mepfhuo adding “Besides academic excellence, we shall stress on all round physical development by providing facilities such as indoor and outdoor sports academies.
The school will also provide facilities for children with special needs.
In order to cater to students with different requirements, facilities such as hostel, school bus, tiffin service, etc. will be provided, he said.
For the coming academic session 2025-26, admissions to all the classes from Class A to 9 will be free, he said.
In this, interested students/parents have been asked to contact the school authorities from 2nd week of September.
Only 25 students per class will be entertained and seats will be offered on first come first serve basis.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by school managing board secretary Peter Vizo while Kekuolhouthie Dziivichii, ex- chairman school managing board pronounced dedicatory prayer.
