Free cataract eye camp in Tuli conducted

Beneficiaries of the free cataract/IOL surgery camp held at Community Health Centre (CHC) Tuli from March 2 to 7.

Mokokchung, March 19 (MExN): A free cataract/IOL surgery camp was held at Community Health Centre (CHC) Tuli from March 2 to 7.

The camp was organized by National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) Nagaland. Altogether, 30 cataract operations were conducted, 5 minor surgery and 653 OPD cases were treated. Free spectacles were also provided to patients with refractive error and presbiopia, the organizers informed.

The team was led by Dr Mereninla Senlem, SPO (NPCB&VI) Nagaland, Dr Imnapokyim , Senior Eye specialist (DH Tuensang), Dr Wobenthung, Junior Eye specialist (IMDH Mokokchung), W Atola, Staff nurse(IMDH Mokokchung), Medemnochetla, Staff nurse(IMDH Mokokchung), Talitoba, Ophthalmic Assistant(CHC Changtongya), Sakuyuba, Ophthalmic Assistant(IMDH Mokokchung), Tiamongla, Ophthalmic Assistant (Longjang PHC).
