Gateway to peace

•-Through your esteemed daily i would like to throw a picture over the recent move by the ruling NPF government to open up its party unit in neighboring Arunachal. I am an Arunachalee and i along with my fellow Arunachalees are honestly disturbed by this gesture of such a respectful and responsible political party. I do completely agree that the constitution of India allows any political party to set up its office in any part of India but the NPF should understand the gravity of the matter and the negative impact it can create in the already troubled region. According to the party Nagas staying in Arunachal are being oppressed and deprived of any opportunities by the Arunachalees or the Arunachal government, that’s the reason they have decided to set up its party unit in the state in order to protect them.
Whereas the matter of fact is that only few Nagas are staying in the state either for academic or business purpose and they are always welcome with an open arm, no wonder  nobody is saying or doing anything to them, infact they are staying in an absolutely peaceful atmosphere like our own brothers and sisters. On the other hand, if the party at any point meant or referred to the people of Tirap district when it said "Naga people in Arunachal "then they are absolutely wrong as the district is historically and geographically an integral part of Arunachal, it is accordingly looked after by the state government and they should not interfere in other state's matter .And if the party intends to set up its office in the district then being a responsible party it should immediately refrain from making such move as some members of both the faction of NSCN I-M&K is already indulged in various unlawful activities in the district and the move could further worsen the situation. The ground reality of the district is that the common mass of this particular district has for long been suffering in the hands of these underground elements be it in the form of extortion or murder etc, and they are simply quiet because they are always shown the gun barrels whenever they raise their voice, so such communal based politics should take a back seat without delay. Arunachal is known for its calm and peaceful atmosphere, she never had any kind of enmity or any issue with Nagaland or any other states, infact the lifestyles, food habits, nature and many other things of the Arunachalees and Nagas are so common that it don't take long to bond when they meet especially outside N-E region, so please let’s not disrupt this by intruding just to score some political point. Our North-East is seen as the region of guns and drugs by many mainlanders, and to some extent it seems true to me as it is home to most numbers of militant groups. And won't it be heart aching to see the so called seven sisters fighting among themselves?? So in the name of God, lets all shut down violence, selfish political motives, hatred and embrace love, friendship and brotherhood instead which will lead us to the path of ultimate peace and sense of satisfaction.
