GHISU seeks clarity on eligibility criteria for Hindi Teachers

Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): The Government Hindi Institute Students Union (GHISU), Dimapur has sought clarity from the Principal Director School Education, Nagaland regarding an advertisement to fill-up the vacant post of Hindi Teachers, dated December 18, 2019. 


In the letter to the Principal Director, the GHISU, among others, wondered why the department is not accepting class 10+2 equivalent “Hindi qualification whereas it is mention in eligibility criteria as equivalent course passed from the recognized board.” 


“The department is well aware that prior to 2017 for Hindi Teachers Diploma Course. The eligibility criteria was class 10 pass only, as per the criteria almost all the pass students were given admission for 3 years Diploma course and they were not aware of the compulsory of 10+2 (General) it required,” the letter informed. 


In this regard, the GHISU said that Diploma holders “who are having only class 10 pass certificates should also be given relaxation with some condition to fulfill the NCTE/MHRD.”
