Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): The Government of India has sanctioned a mega project in the State of Nagaland covering a total length of 329.00 km to be National Highway category/standard of 2-lane road on the following roads- (i) Mon-Tamlu-Merangkong road. (ii) Longleng-Changtongya road, (iii) Phek-Pfutsero road, and (iv) Chakabama-Zunheboto road. This was notified through a press note issued by Chief Engineer PWD (NH) Peter Solo. The note also stated that work order has been issued to M/s Maytas-Gayatri (JV) and the firms shall complete the work in three years time. Presently, the firm is in the process of setting up camps and mobilizing Machinery/equipment for the said project. In the meantime, the Department has also given instruction to the firm to keep the road worthy for traffic now and during construction period. Therefore, the public especially the users of these four roads are requested to bear with the department and extend cooperation while the department and the firms are executing the works.
