Responding to Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio’s appeal for donations to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) for combating the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff of Higher Education, Technical Education & Tribal Affairs departments contributed their one-day salary to the Fund.
Minister of Higher & Technical Education & Tribal Affairs Temjen Imna Along handed a cheque for the amount of Rs 26,54,896 to the Chief Minister on Saturday.
The IAS Association of Nagaland has contributed one-day salary towards the CMRF. “I'm grateful to the Association for their kind gesture & timely help,” the Chief Minister said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Wrestling Association has also contributed Rs 1 lakh to CMRF. They also expressed appreciation to the medical department, health workers, law enforcement agencies, churches and volunteers. “Grateful to NWA for the help,” Rio tweeted.
