‘Govt holding up results of job applicants’

Dimapur, July 5 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today said to have found out that the state government has delayed declaration of results of a recruitment test to a number of posts in the department of Vigilance & Anti Corruption departmental recruitment. For some unexplained reasons the state government is delaying for almost a year results of the test for three SI posts, two ASI posts and five posts for constable, the NSF said in a letter today. The test was held in the month of June 2010, it is stated.
The NSF has written a letter addressed to the Principal Secretary for Personnel & Administrative Reforms. The NSF demands that the government declare the pending results within 10 days or face an own course of action from the NSF. “It is learnt that the department of Vigilance & Anti Corruption has conducted a departmental recruitment for 3 posts of SI, 2 post of ASI and 5 post of Constable in the month of June 2010. Further, it has also come to the notice of the NSF that the department concern has already sent the performance list of the candidates exclusively based on merit to the government for final approval and subsequent declaration of the results,” the NSF said.  To the utter dismay of the candidates and the federation, the NSF said, the government has delayed the declaration of results for almost a year for reasons best known to them. “Therefore, the federation strongly urge upon the government to deliver justice to the students’ community and declare the pending result within 10 days of submitting this representation, failing which the federation will resort to initiate its own course of action till justice is being meted to the deserving candidates,” the NSF stated. NSF vice president Sinhilo Thong and assistant general secretary Tongpang Ozukum appended the letter.
