‘Govt is ready to spend crores to upgrade 74 GHS’

Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): On September 9 Government Middle School, Naga United Village, Dimapur was upgraded to Government High School and inaugurated by Additional Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of School Education Angau I. Thou. 

The Chief Guest appealed to the teachers to rededicate their service so that they may impart quality education to the students and urged the students to be more sincere and serious in their study and become better and responsible citizens. She also exhorted the parents to give more effort to their wards in the way they want to be.  She also stated that the government is ready to spend crores of rupees for the development of seventy four newly upgraded Government High School in phase manner i.e 1st phase & 2nd phase respectively. In this connection, she asked the villagers to be more generous to spare more land for infrastructure development of the school, otherwise development cannot take place satisfactorily without space or land. 

A press note issued by Naga United Village, VEC Chairman, Mase Vero, stated that nearly 30 years back, the school was established as Private Primary School Naga United Village and the school was taken over by the government in 1978 and upgraded as a full-fledged GMS in 1998.
