‘Govt should not deny chance to genuine entrepreneurs’

Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): Describing the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the selection process under Dimapur district as ‘questionable’, an entrepreneur from the district who had applied for the scheme has expressed his viewpoint to the media. Managing Director of Pheto Music Association Kashito Kiba in his press note pointed out that following the State Government’s declaration of 2010 as the “Year of Entrepreneurs” many young Nagas Entrepreneurs had the feeling that the government policy and vision for the present young generation will definitely be benefited by ways of various schemes/projects. Terming this as a “dream come true” and “hoping to get help from government”, the Pheto Music Association MD informed that as an entrepreneur he had applied for the PMEGP schemes on P.A. Sound System Project. 

The MD informed that he appeared the interview and except for one or two questions, he had answered most of the questions “perfectly”. Kashito Kiba pointed out that since he was involved in this profession for many years as a “genuine one”, he had hoped that the concern selection committee would “carefully study and do the process well”. Kiba also disclosed that before appearing the selection process he had personally met and discussed with Chairman NKVIB Dr.Nicky Kire for the project and that the later had “assured” that help would be extended. “He has even written a chit on his pad to the selection board. Chairman letter goes on like this ‘Kashito Kiba is a young Entrepreneur who is applying for Music/P.A Sound system under PMEGP. He has been organizing the recent contests and I would like that he be selected for the scheme so that he can further help our youth. Chairman/Deputy Commissioner District Task Force Dimapur may kindly take this case positively”, the MD stated. 

Justifying his claim, the MD reminded that Pheto Music Association had been organizing the events for past 5 years like “Kids For Fame” and presently Nagas got Talent Mega Talent Hunt Contest. “So, in order to make use of our Events and Shows I had confidently applied this project to buy Sound System and for the service for the people of Nagaland”. The MD pointed out that “justice and opportunities for the right and genuine one should not be denied totally”. Kiba stated that “change might come forward for the betterment of all the younger generation and upcoming entrepreneurs in our society today and in the days to come”. “The message is please; please do not deprive the genuine and rightful upcoming entrepreneurs in the future”.
