Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): Over the shortage of life-saving drugs and medicines in the state due to rampant extortion, the “GPRN/NSCN” today accused the NSCN (IM) of “extortion by IM on medicine dealers.” According to the former, extortion on medical establishments by the latter has “become so fierce” that medical dealers have been forced to shut shop. “It is to be noted that only an organization which thrives on duplicity and provocation of the Naga society would indulge in cutting off supply of life-saving drugs meant for Naga people,” it said , “to choke the Nagas via destabilization of medical supplies to Nagaland.” The “GPRN/NSCN” in a note from its publicity cell said “the extortion on medicine dealers has become so fierce that dealers are simply forced to close their shops.” The note elaborated what it explained as “they remain allergic to oneness of Nagas in body and mind and so their latest trick confirms their true intention”. It added that “they are now resorting to weakening the Nagas society by ensuring that more Nagas are killed for lack of medicines”.
