Health and wellness centers in district doing well: CMO Wokha

Wokha, February 5 (MExN): Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Wokha Dr C W Tungoe on February 5 stated that most of the health and wellness centers in the district are doing exceptionally well and are actively participating in patients’ welfare.

The CMO stated this while delivering the keynote address at the district level KAYAKALP Orientation training which was conducted at CMO conference hall in Wokha.

Dr Tungoe mentioned that KAYAKALP was instituted a few years back in the country by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to improve services in the health care sector. He encouraged the medical officers and community health officers to maintain good hygiene and sanitation practices at health facilities in order to provide good services to patients.

Resource person, Dr Thungchabeni Pattton, DPM (Q) Wokha, gave a brief introduction of KAYAKALP which comes under quality assurance programme. She took sessions on hospital upkeep, sanitation and hygiene, waste management and hospital support services. A total of 23 medical officers and community health officers participated in the one day training programme.
