DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 3 (MExN): The Department of Health and Family Welfare today informed that report submission by private hospitals and clinics in prescribed formats for data generation in regard to health programs through HMIS, IDSP and other related reporting systems are not forthcoming. A notification, issued through the DIPR, stated that as a result data integrity is compromised as to the generation of exact health index for the district of Kohima. In this regard, the department asked the concerned authority to issue necessary orders in exercise of power under the Nagaland Healthcare Establishment Act 1997 making it mandatory for the registered health units to submit all such reports, as required by the district health authority, in the interest of the public health. Such directions are binding upon the registered hospitals and clinics and violation will amount to punishable offence.
