Dimapur, August 31 (MExN): Portions of the road from New Peren to Chalkot Junction under Peren district have been completely cut off as a result of a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall on August 30 afternoon. The road is considered to be the lifeline shortcut road leading to Tening Sub-division via Mbaulwa Range.
According to a DIPR report on Wednesday, no casualties or injuries were reported during the time of the incident. However, it stated that since the onset of monsoon season, the commuters of Tening and Nsong areas have been facing untold hardships and miseries owing to the deplorable road conditions.
