Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has restricted the movement of heavy vehicles along the road stretch from NH-29 Model Road to GMS School, Darogajan, from September 28 to October 15 in view of ongoing road construction work. In a press release issued on September 28, the EDTC directed heavy vehicle operators, transporters and vehicle owners to use the alternative route via the Four-Lane Road during the restriction period.
The restriction has been imposed to facilitate the “smooth and uninterrupted execution” of the road construction work and ensure the safety of the public, commuters and workers engaged in the project. For light vehicles, the EDTC suggested an alternative route via Nitoke Tower Junction, Lane 6, Model Colony, Mount View Church Road, Hollohon Petrol Pump and NH-29.
The council requested the public and all concerned to cooperate with the diversion and follow the designated alternative routes until October 15 or until further orders.
