Hindi teacher recruitment: ENSF asks DoSE to relax eligibility criteria

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 10 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) today submitted a representation to the Principal Director, Department of School Education with regard to an advertisement published by the department for recruitment of 84 Hindi teachers on January 16. In this, the ENSF asked the department to adhere to the government notifications dated January 9, 2009 and June 19, 2019, while also calling for relaxation of the minimum qualification criteria. The ENSF petitioned this “so as to uplift the employment status of the present six tribes of Eastern Nagas.”

In the representation, ENSF President, Sepili Sangtam and Education Secretary, Kaibo Konyak called for relaxation of the eligibility criteria 1(a) “as most of our people will possess the Hindi diploma certificate but there will also be less chances of minimum qualification who will possess such degree.”

“Many people from Eastern Nagaland who have obtained their Hindi diploma are either under matriculate of after their elementary. Taking the basic educational backwardness into account, the federation put forth this representation,” it added.
