Dimapur, July 20 (MExN): Nagaland Home Minister Imkong L. Imchen in a press note issued to media has stated: “My attention has been drawn on the episode of Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) and my Personal Secretary. It is regretted to the state that for such small thing should occupy the front pages of our esteem local paper. If there is any language used by my PS which has hurt the sentiment of the NMA, they may kindly bear with.” The statement was made in response to the NMA demand that the office of the Home Minister Imkong Imchen issue a public apology for “derogatory statements” made by his secretary. The Home Minster in the note also stated appreciation to the effort put by NMA in search for justice on the life attempt on ‘Smt. Imtila’, and then added: “Our intention are rather distracting to the language used by my PS for which I express regret. I hope that with this clarification, the NMA will work even harder in the pursuit of justice in the Naga society today. I look forward for their esteem cooperation in the days to come.”
