Hornbill International Photo Fest closing ceremony held

Kisama, December 10 (MExN): The Hornbill International Photo Fest 2019 organised by DIPR and Eastern Art Council and Portrait Enterprise and supported by Tourism Department concluded at Kisama Heritage village with Additional Director, Information and Public Relations Z Tokishe Sema as the special guest during the closing ceremony on December 10.
A DIPR report stated that addressing the gathering, Z Tokishe Sema thanked the Tourism Department for giving opportunity to photographers from across the country to exhibit their works during the festival. He added that the photo exhibition was very small at the initial stage but it has grown over the years. He also wished that all photographers take this opportunity to partake in the exhibition by showcasing Nagaland and the rest of the country through their lens.
Coordinator of Eastern Art Council and Proprietor, Portrait Enterprise, M Ababe Ezung said that 61 participants took part in the Hornbill International Photo Fest 2019, showcasing 140 photographs for the competition. He encouraged the photographers at the gathering to tell friends and others about the competition that is being held every year during the Hornbill Festival and to partake in it so as to expand the competition far and wide.
The winners for Hornbill International Photo Fest 2019 competition were Vevozo Vero, Manphoa Konyak and Sanasam Okendro Singh who stood first, second and third respectively while Monalisa Kar and Koireng Singh secured the consolation prizes in the senior category. They received cash prizes and certificates. In the junior category, Nsinyu Tep, Yhunbenla Keppen and Nyubwenlo Seb secured the first, second and third positions respectively.They also received cash prizes and certificates.
