HSLC, HSSLC exams commence smoothly in Wokha, Bhandari

Amid the ongoing indefinite stir called by the Civil Society Organisations in Wokha, the 2024 High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate examinations have commenced smoothly as scheduled for students across the district.

According to the Sub-divisional Education Officer, Wokha, a total of 435 students are appearing for the HSSLC Examination in the Wokha centre, while 734 students are sitting for HSLC exams. A total of 199 students are also appearing for their exams at Bhandari centre.

Meanwhile, the State DIPR also reported that the Class 10 and 12 Examinations started as scheduled for students at the Bhandari examination centre. 

Before the commencement, Tiameren Longkumer, Principal of GHSS, Bhandari, and Superintendent of the Bhandari Examination Centre, briefed both students and teachers about the board exams and their regulations.

A total of 15 schools, including both government and private institutions, are participating in the ongoing examinations in Bhandari, it added.

The HSLC and HSSLC Examinations under the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) commenced across Nagaland on February 12 and 13, respectively. 

A total of 22,136 candidates, who have enrolled for the HSLC examination 2024, would be appearing from 95 examination centres across Nagaland from February 13 to 23. 

In HSSLC, 17,911 candidates are appearing in the exam at 68 examination centres across Nagaland. The exam will continue till March 6.

The Class 11 promotion exams are also being held simultaneously.  It must be noted here that the CSOs' stir was suspended till February 17 on Tuesday.
