Kohima, July 18 (MExN): Assam Rifles personnel have seized contraband brown sugar and arms in Jotsoma, Kohima on July 17.
According to the PRO, HQ IGAR (N), “based on specific intelligence about consignment of contraband,” Assam Rifles team along with police representative launched an operation in general area Jotsoma, Kohima and apprehended one Kinikili (38 yrs).
The recoveries included one point 22mm Pistol with mag and 20 live rounds, 35.6 gms brown sugar amounting to approx Rs 3,56,000.
The apprehended individual along with recovered items was handed over to Zubza police station, Kohima for further investigation, the PRO added.
