ILP in Dimapur: Home Dept asks HODs to assists DC

Kohima, December 12 (MExN): The Nagaland Home Department today urged all the Head of Offices/Departments (HoDs) to assist the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur in carrying out Inner Line Permit (ILP) exercise in the district “in a smooth and time bound manner.” A DIPR report quoting notification from the Home Department, informed that the DC Dimapur has been “authorized, as and when the need arises, to requisition the services of the Officers and Staff of any of the State Government Offices/Departments in Dimapur District for the aforesaid exercise.” In this connection, all the HoDs in Dimapur are asked “to ensure that the services of their Officers and Staffs are promptly put at the disposal of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur as and when necessary requisition is made by him for carrying out the above exercise,” it said.   The assistance, the Home Department added, might be required as there is a likelihood of a large number of “non-indigenous persons settled in Dimapur applying for obtaining ILPs and Certificates, which have to be examined, processed and disposed of in a time bound manner.” The Government of Nagaland in a notification on December 9 extended ILP to cover the entire District of Dimapur.
