Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the State Government to immediately initiate the issuance of work orders for all the remaining Foothills roads falling under Executive Engineer divisions in the State, as the working season is fast approaching.
“The matters should be taken up on priority,” read one of the two resolutions adopted at a consultative meeting of the Dimapur-based Nagaland Tribal Hohos and NFHRCC in Dimapur on September 26 to discuss the resumption of the ongoing 2nd Phase 2-lane Foothills Road construction on the remaining portions/sectors across the State.
The meeting also reaffirmed support and “unflinching confidence” in the initiatives of the NFHRCC until the ongoing Foothills Road project is successfully completed, a press release from the Committee informed.
The house also deliberated on supporting the State Government’s Mega Project initiative appropriately in the event of its upgradation to National Highway status under MoRTH, under the aegis of the Trans Nagaland Highways (Foothills Road), it added.
As per the release, the Dimapur-based Tribal Hohos also reaffirmed their support to the NFHRCC and urged the State Government to resume the ongoing Foothills Road construction works
