Looking at the way some of the fashion fanatic girls wear their dresses these days perhaps makes one wonders what prompts them to be too lewd and blatant in the public places. It seems those girls are indifferent to its ill-effect on the society. Do they think their seductive way of dressing in public places does not sensually arouse other males leading to increase in instances of sexual assaults on innocent women? According to one’s feeling such indecent get-ups undoubtedly contribute to making the youth sexually more active. In fact it is quite natural, when men become sexually more active, lots of social malaise sure to rear its ugly head. One thinks, the present much hated increasing cases of sexual assaults and family feuds and break-ups and divorces are partly or some way or other could be linked to open demonstration of sensuality.
But however, if fashion crazy girls think that wearing scanty clothes or dressing seductively does not send males sexually provoked then I have got series of questions for them.
Don’t they shriek in pain when one puts a red-hot iron on their palm? Don’t they ever feel it natural tendency to giggle on seeing a joker in a circus? They probably calls it a quirk to shed tears hearing a pathetic story of a harassed woman by her uncouthhusband. I think according to them it is unusual if one’s taste buds get stimulated and mouth watery at the sight of a savoury sauce. I guess they have not seen till now the bees being attracted by the fragrance of the blossoming flowers. Yet, they have obviously grown appreciative of slinky dresses. Why have they not done the self-introspection and understand about physiological and psychological factors that have basically contributed to her sudden appreciation for such slinky dresses? If I go more deep into other facts they may accuse me of being too blatant and ungodly. Anyway I advice them to study, besides the works of Pythagoras, Sigmund Freud, Charles Kinsey; the Bible, the Gita, the Quran and the Buddhist philosophies which tell more about not only what kinds of the dresses one should wear but also the significance of ethics and moral values in a day-to-day life.
Nonetheless, I think it is important that I must tell a few more things with regard to functions of sense organs and how our misusing them could spell nightmares after nightmares. According to Aristotle man (with intellect but bordered on emotion) has five senses that exactly function like receivers which help transmit externally received impulses to the brain via nerves. Almost like an open tape-recorder, Man (or woman) with five senses respond to particular external objects in a certain way (degree of intensity varies from individual to individual) which get processed in the mind prompting one to form a particular conclusion and thus action (may be just an act of thinking). In other words, what we think is what we see (or hear, feel, smell, taste) and what we continuously think with an attachment in course of time may transfer into an action (associated with that object) and repeated same actions lead to the formation of particular habit which contribute partly in the determination of our character and personality.
I further want to add that usually all these stimuli received by the sense organs from the sense objects after being processed in the mind also make a certain effect on our innately existing vices such as anger, greed, desire, lust and ego. If the impression drawn from outer world is of virtuous kind the said five vices tend to get weakened and resulting which one will be a little more virtuous. But, if the impression from the objects is of immoral kind, these vices get still stronger that inexorably affect one’s day to day social conduct.
It is unmistakably same vices that overpower one to behave demonically in a given situation. This is a basis of evils in our life. Here, I wish to impress upon the individuals struck by indecent culture that as other senses, sensuality has an exclusive place with exclusive limitations in the creation of nature. Mysteriously, in this nature every bit of creation has its own paramount reasons in store. For instance, had there been no taste buds on the surface of the tongue man would not have bothered to eat and the result would have been disastrous. So is the case with this sex appeal. The philosophers often hold it as divine energy and a cause behind uncanny attraction between two opposite sex. And it is indispensable, inevitable, binding and sustaining force in the creation of the nature. Certainly, it is basically sexuality which subtly nourishes love to strengthen between the two opposite sex. And of course, it wonderfully adorns the love phenomenon making the life more livable and adorable. But it is strictly to be borne in mind that sexuality is absolutely a closet affair between a husband and a wife and never ever for a public display.
But alas ! of late, with the sensuality coming out for a public view the sanctity of a sexual urge is fast getting flabby and subsequently ailing the love. Sadly, now it is almost impossible to fancy Wordsworth’s Lucy. The divine love romance of Romeo and Juliet is only in our remote fantasy. No surprise, one-time fast loving husbands are now having flirtation with a host of docile girls while their luckless wives at home are being debilitated by mental agony. Please note this is just the tip of the iceberg in the worldly existence.
