Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): The Government of India has a Facebook page now, only for the Road Transport & Highways Ministry for now though. The ministry hopes to garner feedback from the public and monitor public response to the works of the ministry through the Facebook page.
The Facebook page of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways was launched by Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Dr. CP Joshi here today. Dr. Joshi said that with the launch of the Facebook page, ‘we will get an opportunity to interact with general public. While we will get appreciation in one area, we will get criticism in some other areas.’ The minister hopes that the Facebook page ‘will bring the much needed transparency in our work and is going to add another milestone to the e-governance system in the government.’
