IndiaSkills Nagaland competition launched

Kohima, September 3 (MExN): The Directorate of Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (DoESDE), Nagaland, has launched the IndiaSkills Nagaland Skill Competition 2026-27. The biannual national competition is organised by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation across 28 states and eight Union Territories.

The competition aims to identify and nurture skilled youth from Nagaland by providing opportunities to compete at state, regional, national and international levels. Participation is open to eligible candidates and is free of cost. The state-level competition will feature 17 skills, including fashion technology, beauty therapy, hairdressing, health and social care, floristry, welding, bakery, cooking, hotel reception, restaurant service, retail sales, electrical installations, graphic design technology, mobile applications development, additive manufacturing, CNC milling and CNC turning.

Participants must be born on or after January 1, 2006. An Aadhaar number is mandatory for registration. The last date for registration is September 15, 2026. Registration is available through the Skill India Digital platform.
