Over 1,700 persons transported on day two
DIMAPUR, MAY 8 (MExN): The inter-district movement of stranded persons to their home districts which began on May 7 continued for the second day today. 1,758 passengers in 85 buses travelled back to their respective districts from various locations of the State on May 8. From Wokha, 21 persons were sent to Dimapur on May 8 and arrangement was being made to transport 13 more passengers bound for Tuensang, Mokokchung and Tobu. 287 persons from Mokokchung also travelled to their home districts. 68 passengers left for Dimapur, 1 bus with 20 passengers to Longleng, 3 buses with 75 passengers to Tuensang, 3 buses with 70 passengers to Kohima and 2 buses with 54 passengers from Changtongya and Tuli. In Zunheboto, 172 stranded persons were sent to five districts in a total of 10 buses. 6 buses were sent to Dimapur carrying 96 people, one bus to Mokokchung and Wokha carrying 8 each, one bus to Tuensang carrying 15, one bus to Tobu carrying 28 and one bus to Mon travelling via Assam carrying 17 persons.
