IPPI Booth Day in Peren covers over 5000

Peren, January 20 (MExN): The first round of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) started in Peren district with the Booth Day on January 19. A total of 5082 children were administered with the help of the district and block administration.
The target population 0-5 years for Peren district is 6552.
According to a press release issued by Pezanguno Celine Secü, District Media Officer, CMO Office Peren altogether, there are a total of 172 booths. With the motive to reach out to every household, teams were divided involving health workers, Anganwadi worker, ASHAs of every village including the 36 Assam Rifles of all the four Blocks Peren district were send out to every part of the District ensuring that no child is missed out. The house to house visits will continue till January 21.
The work force team from the Chief Medical Office Staff is led by Dr. Nukshisangla Jamir, District Program Officer UIP/RCH. The 36 AR also provided refreshment on the Booth Day to the teams. They also organised health camp along with Tening PHC at Old Nkio village under Tening Block coinciding with the IPPI day to reach out to the people.
