He said that few of the members gathered this morning to distribute pamphlets on the different preventive aspects of the COVID -19 to create awareness among the public.

He said that the Red Cross desire to tell the community on the need to focus on behavioral change and improving  the societal norms and discipline ourselves in maintaining social distancing in terms of using mask, hand sanitisers, or practicing hand washing.

“After the lockdown, I think we have to make many changes in our way of living.  We, Nagas, we always want to do things in a hurry, rush, but we have to learn to practice the queue system, that social distancing is important for us to prevent ourselves and keep ourselves safe. So these are habits we have to inculcate,” he said.

Later, the volunteers distributed pamphlets at PHQ, PR Hill, High school and Old MLA Hostel junction.

The members sensitized the people on the importance of maintaining social distance and also hand washing.
