DIMAPUR, MARCH 16 (MExN): The Joint Committee on Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) has called for an emergency meeting of all apex tribe hohos and civil society organizations on March 19 at the Tourist Lodge conference hall from 11:00am onwards. A press release from the JCPI informed that the meeting has been called as the ultimatum issued to the State Government with regard to the issues of the RIIN and ILP on February 24 has expired. The ultimatum had demanded fresh notification of RIIN based on the Banuo Commission report with 1963 as cut-out year; revocation of the 1979 cut off year under BEFR 1873; physical implementation of ILP as per the Abhishek Singh Committee report and establishment of Foreigners Tribunals under Foreigners Act 1946.
