Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung launched its alumni association at the college premises on February 10.
At a brief launching programme, Dr Imtiwati Jamir, Chairman, Board of Governors, JMC spoke on the need of having an alumni association in the college. He said that the alumni associations are a socializing platform that helps in establishing networks and said, “Worth of a college is measured by its alumnus.”
Akumsunep Jamir, who was elected as the President of the JMC Alumni Association said that in just four years the college has lived upto its motto ‘Ascent’ and said that it was a historic day for JMC and the launching of the association is a major milestone in the history of JMC. He added that the association will be a reinvigorating agent to push the college forward and work towards accountability and giving back to the college.
The dedicatory prayer for the association was pronounced by Rev Ponen Longchar, Pastor, MTBA.
The newly formed office bearers are President - Akumsunep Jamir; Vice President – Takosunep; General Secretary –Rongpangtangla; Asst. Gen Secretary – Moarenla; Finance Secretary – Yimwatila.
Along with the office bearers six executive members and two advisors were also elected.
