Peren, May 19 (MExN): The Jalukie Pumling Youth Organisation (JPYO) has raised serious concerns over the slow progress and poor workmanship in the construction of roads under NH-129 A (Package II) in the Jalukie area of Peren district, being executed by M/s AM Infrastructure Projects Pvt Ltd & M/s RN Infra Project (JV).
During a recent inspection, JPYO officials observed that drainage works within village areas remain incomplete across several stretches, stated a press release issued by the Media cell of JPYO. In places where drains have been constructed, the quality of workmanship was found to be unsatisfactory, with multiple drains left open leading to blockages and waterlogging, posing a serious risk to commuters.
Additionally, shoulder filling with aggregate chips is incomplete in many sections and has not been carried out as per the work order. Several roadside plantations also need replacement as some saplings have already withered.
The organisation noted that despite multiple intimations to the contractor and concerned authorities, the delay has raised serious questions over the pace of execution and the contractor’s commitment to completing the project on time.
In light of these issues, JPYO has strongly urged the contractor and all concerned parties to improve the quality of work and expedite the remaining construction without further delay.
The organisation further stated that it will ensure the project is completed as per approved specifications without compromising public safety and community welfare. JPYO also affirmed that it will continue to monitor the project and carry out follow-up inspections to ensure timely and proper completion.
