BAMBI KEVICHUSA: Being from a family of musicians, Bambi Kevichusa started singing, writing songs and playing the piano at a very young age. She also began performing in rock bands during her high school days, and later went on to join LYSTRA, a gospel rock band in Kohima, as keyboardist and vocalist. Bambi also spent a few years in Chennai as the keyboardist of Blood and Fire, a Heavy Rock Christian Band co-writing several songs and performing in various cities of India, including Mumbai. A Fashion Designer by profession, Bambi feels that the lines between Music, Art, Poetry and Fashion are fluid and almost non existent, because they are all different expressions of the Creative Arts, all of which are from one source that is, The Creator.
These days, apart from being a Judge for the Naga Orpheus Hunt, 2011, Bambi is “trying to put together a book of poems, which may or may never be published”, and accompanying her drum - banging 3 year old son on the guitar during his impromptu singing sessions.
RUDY WALLANG: Born into a musical household Rudy took to the art very early in his life. He grew up listening to his father Toto Wallang make music and thus started singing and playing the ukulele at a very tender age. He eventually graduated to playing the guitar and became a proud owner of the instrument at the age of 13 when his mom Shiela gifted him one.
With a musical association that dates back to the first decade of his life Rudy is a Blues guitar player/singer/songwriter and most prominently leads the famed band, Soulmate from Shillong. Any Indian in tune with the Western music scene in the country would not fail to recognize Rudy Wallang with the niche that he has carved. Rudy is also one of the foremost blues guitar players/singer / songwriters in the country and has been a part of the well known blues rock acts, Great Society & Mojo.
He has performed numerous concerts all over India, The US (Memphis, Boulder, Manitou Springs, Rhode Island, Manhattan and Washington DC), France, Norway, Dubai, Nepal, Singapore and Indonesia with his band SoulMate Rudy was adjudged the ‘Best Guitar Player’ at the 2009 Jack Daniel’s Awards and endorses Greg Bennett Guitars, Xotic Effects- USA and D’Addario Electric Guitar Strings- USA. Recently, Soulmate has been offered to endorse AKG In-ear monitors, microphones and wireless guitar systems. Apart from having a wealthy experience in music Rudy believes that “music should come from deep inside your soul and if you believe in yourself, nothing can stop you from making your dreams come true”.
TALI ANGH: Tali Angh has a Masters degree in Biotechnology from Bangalore University, is the proprietor of Mount Carmel School, Longleng, a songwriter and an inspiring singer. He is married to Jungtina Jamir and is the frontman of the Tali Angh Band. He is the Judge of the Naga Orpheus Hunt for the second consecutive season. Music, he believes has no reservation and price- tag as long as there is a purpose and an opportunity to make a positive impact. His genre of music falls under Christian Contemporary Soft Melodic rock and he claims that his music and songs are derived from the intimate relationship that he shares with the creator. Tali considers the passion that he has for music as the passion that drives him to do many other things in life. He is a Singer who does not attach fame and money to the art but perceives it comes to one and stays for a purpose only if its moral responsibility is understood. Like any other inspiring singer Tali wishes to cut an album and after waiting for about four years he is now prayerfully planning to have the much awaited album before the end of 2013.
