Kohima, August 28 (MExN): The Khulazu Basa Students’ Union Kohima (KBSUK) has conducted its 12th general session cum fresher’s meet’ with the theme ‘Alternative knowledge for creative solutions' at Red Cross building conference hall, Kohima on August 27.
Megosano Sakhrie, Secretariat Assistant, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima graced the session as the guest speaker.
Sakhrie advised students to start building their foundation from now onwards instead of wasting waiting for the right age to come.
“Learn to push limits and come out of your comfort zone. One cannot continue doing the old ways and expect changes,” she said.
Sakhrie encouraged students to speak and preserve their own dialect.
As students, one should know how to master social media and not allow it to control them, she said.
Zhovehu Kezo, Chairman, Village Education Committee Khulazu Basa, said the duty of a student is to study hard and urged them to put all efforts and hard work into it.
Many parents had sent their children to Kohima to study and get the best education, he said and advised them to know their duty and work hard.
During the programme HSLC, HSSLC and Degree subject distinction holders were felicitated.
KBSUK president Verakho Rhakho delivered presidential address. Chorolu Rhakho spoke on behalf of the freshers. Nutsolu Kezo and Khruzovolu Kezo presented folk tunes while Vetsulu Keyho performed dance.
Around 20 freshers attended the programme.
