Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): As an educational welfare body, the Kuzhathede Collegiate Fellowship (KCF) is concerned with the prevailing trend of educational system especially at the grass root educational setup. In this regard, the KCF official team, with its Chairman, Welete Kapfo, Vice Chairman, Isaac Losou, Treasurer, Wepe-u Kapfo, Assistant General Secretary, Medovelo Koza and Advisor Weto Kapfo toured all the schools of Kuzhathede on August 25 and 26.
KCF chairman in a press release stated that based on the findings of the tour, all the schools are running without language teachers both Hindi and MIL subjects and GPS at Lewuza is functioning with just two Government appointees. Therefore, the KCF has appealed to the School Educational Department to give immediate attention.
In spite of difficulties, the KCF stated that all the teachers of the area schools are rendering dedicate service and taking extra steps making up the deficiencies to ensure that the students do not face undue problem. The KCF also stated that the VEC, VDB and Lewuza dwellers are sponsoring five teachers to keep the school running; the GPS Zapami sponsors two teachers by the school itself; and the VCC and the Church of Lekromi village is sponsoring two teachers to man the school what is required.
The KCF was impressed and encouraged to see that during its visit, almost all the teachers were present and in most of the villages, VEC and its members, pastors and other village body heads showed their concern and support through constructive interactions for the development of schools vis-à-vis standardization of educational system. Meanwhile, the KCF appreciated School Education Department and DIS Pfutsero for making available various schemes and supplies to the schools in recent times and most of the schools are quite satisfied with it.
It may be mentioned here that, the Kuzhathede area is composed of seven villages and one town of Phek district viz; Pfutseromi, Lekromi, Kami, Zapami, Lasumi, Zuketsa, Leshemi and Khezhakeno ( in order of distance from Pfutsero Town), with nine government primary schools, one government middle school and two government high schools.
