KDCC launch People’s Awareness Programme

Kohima, November 17 (MExN): The Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) in line with the directives of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) launched the Jan Jagran Abhiyan or People’s Awareness Programme at Congress Bhavan Kohima on November 17. 

In a press release, KDCC president, Kevi Vizo said that the programme is a card campaign against the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities. 

Some of the cards read “Inflation is taxation without legislation”, “Save common man from poverty and starvation”, “Food is the priority for hungry man and not statues”, “Change has come for poverty and starvation”, “Earning Rs 10 Expenditure Rs 100 wah ache din”, “Ache din for government at Delhi not for citizens”, “Stop local taxation & extortion… it creates inflation” and “Price rise on fuel is the root cause of all inflation”. 

On the first day of launching the campaign, Congress volunteers in the state capital distributed the cards to more than 3000 people in the town area.
