‘Keep clapping for Volunteers’

Nagaland Gov lauds Red Cross workers
 

DIMAPUR, MAY 7 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi today wished all volunteers and staff of the Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State branch on the occasion of World Red Cross Day, which falls on May 8. 


A press release from the Governor stated that the Indian Red Cross Society, while celebrating its centenary, remains committed towards the cause of humanity and in their efforts to make people's lives better.


The theme for this year’s World Red Cross Day is ‘Keep Clapping for Volunteers.’ This theme applies for everyone who has been relentlessly working on the frontline to prevent and respond to COVID-19, the Governor stated. 


He added that in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland has been tirelessly working in tandem with the local authorities for the aid of needy, remotely-placed and stranded people. 


“I am sure the IRCS Nagaland working hand in hand with the administration will meet the challenges of this pandemic situation,” the Governor stated and wished all volunteers and staff success in their endeavours.
