Kohima, March 21 (MExN): In view of the global COVID-19 outbreak, the Kiruphema General Council (KGC) has appeal all travellers within its jurisdiction to be aware and maintain all necessary measures until the critical situation is over.
Since National Highway-29 and state highways pass through the village jurisdiction, thousands of travellers take a break daily to get relaxation from view points, Petrol pumps, hotels and shops through the village stretch.
As precautionary measures, the council therefore appealed all the travellers to avoid non-essential visit to the said places for safety of the people.
COVID-19 Awareness Committee Kiruphema convenor Savilie Kruneilie and secretary Neicasato Visienyü informed that all hotels under Kiruphema village jurisdiction will be shut down from March 23 to April 12 till additional instruction and has requested the concern law enforcing authority and district administration to ensure public safety by keeping surveillance to both foreign and domestic tourists entering the village jurisdiction even from Peducha police check gate NH.29.
It has also appealed villagers, non villagers, non locals and 4 lane constructions company under its jurisdiction to avoid travelling to and fro till situation gets normal and even students and villagers returning to village from abroad to take required process during this critical situation.
