Kiphire, February 4 (MExN): The Khongsa Area Public Organization (KAPO) held its general session cum meeting at Public Ground, Khongsa Town on February 4.
KAPO President, L Hantsuki in a press release stated that K Shellumthong, Secretary (CEB) NDPP & Co-Convener Kiphire Region graced the occasion as the special guest. Shellumthong encouraged all the citizens of Khongsa area to strive forward in all the aspects in unity and with the spirit of oneness. He asserted the need to be united as “the area is a budding block in our state with numerous projects and developments to come by their way.”
At the outset, KAPO President welcomed the gathering while a special folk song was presented by the Khongsa village council elders. Short speeches of encouragement were delivered by Thsantsumong, Advisor KAPO, L Thsepanki, Advisor, KAPO and Rithrongmong, President, Khongsa Area GBs Union. The Salomi Village students’ union also enthralled the programme with a song. The voted of thanks was then delivered by K Korakmong, General Secretary, KAPO.
Tsechimong, Pastor, Khongsa Town and Alimla, W/Pastor, Khongsa Town Baptist Church said the invocation and benediction respectively. Y Linyamong anchored the programme.
